My name is Madelyn Istrate. I live in southern Ohio–an overlooked paradise where the sky never ceases to dazzle me and all four seasons shout God’s glory with a megaphone. I am the wife of a handsome engineer who I love even more than I did when I married him two years ago. In February of 2024 I loved and lost our first baby, whom I thank God for anytime I see a whale. You can read why here. In June of 2025, we welcomed our blue-eyed daughter. She keeps me busy and brings me more joy than I can put into words. What a privilege to raise her for the glory of God.

Most of what you will find here are simple glimpses into the story God is writing in my own life. I have always found that things stick with me when I write them down. I’m also firmly convinced that the Lord is glorified and the saints edified when we share stories of His faithfulness. That is why I share some of my writing here. I hope that it is used mightily by Him who is able to do “far more abundantly than all we ask or think.”
